Biography

As the founder of Protokol Records, Ethan Smith has been at the heart of the label since its earliest releases. His discography spans more than a decade of production across EPs, singles and albums, including releases such as Protect Album, Ignition, Domination and Signal. His sound is built around dark, percussive and precisely constructed hardtechno. His solo productions and collaborations with Jack Ostin, DJ Drops, Jim Raley, Stephan Strube, Xilef and Meyer Lansky form the backbone of the catalog and define the independent identity of Protokol Records.
